About Boudoir & Erotic Photography
I don’t like the term "boudoir" very much. It’s clichéd and somewhat limiting and the modern woman isn’t. I prefer the term "erotic" when defining sexy and sensual photography. Erotic has more freedom of definition and vision.
Every woman is different with respect to how she feels about her body and erotic essence and I intently photograph her specific level of eroticism and sensuality. If a woman is moved by her photographic transformation from "normal" to sensual, beautiful and erotic, then I know I genuinely succeeded and that's my little dopamine fix.
Having sexy photos taken is rather scary for some but there’s an incredible reward in doing them: the experience of courage to face one’s erotic nature, an experience that’s enlightening, daring and exciting. Some clients learn something new about themselves while others just have a great time throughout. I love being able to offer either opportunity.
I like simplistic photos that focus on what the client or model surrenders in front of the camera. Her eroticism is the focus. (I also photograph men and couples) I assist in posing but I prefer to capture more candid moments. When a client-photographer trust develops, the results are often extraordinary.
A bit of pressure goes on to the model, of course, but knowing how to work with women and how to make them look their sensual best while providing a comfortable and professional relationship is what I’m good at.
I only photograph on location, either in a house or apartment, outside or a hotel suite of choice. I have a portable studio as I believe sexy photos are best captured outside a professional studio for best results with "real women". Plus, this creates more original photographs whereby I can guarantee 20 clients won't be sitting sexy on the same sofa and I can provide full privacy and personalized comfort zones, important aspects in boudior for the amature subject.
